This is going to be huge. Kids reactions to the trailers have been huge. They're going to drag their parents to this.

But I'm almost certain a good chuck of those parents on Thanksgiving Weekend will say "shut up we're seeing the Muppets instead...TRUST ME".
$19.7M/$80.8M.

Drew McWeeny has seen it. He hasn't given a review or even a clear reaction yet, but his recent tweets indicate that it's a "left turn" from the original.

I liked the first one a lot- it's definitely a flawed movie, but it tried something different and succeeds because of it. My pre-review guess is that they're ditching the dark environmental themes of the original and this one will stick with the cutesy penguin thing.
BO wise, I don't know what to say. HP1 benefited from monopolizing the family movie market until Night at the Museum opened. Three family movies open over Thanksgiving and three more will launch before Christmas. This has its work cut out for it.
