Filmgasm is a good place, I would support a total BOM move there, if we can run it the way we did mojo. As I said I am open to whatever the majority wants. However, the majority all needs to go there and start posting. We have our handful of devout users, but we need a random assortment of other regulars that help flesh out a nice community. I also have the blog attached to it ready for new articles so there's already a lot established there. TAKE. ADVANTAGE. I don't know how many other ways I can say it. If Scottb or Shawn want to be an admin there and start making changes thats what should happen tbh. Don't start from scratch, and more importantly, NEVER proboards. (yuck) |

i like this one. the only thing that bothers me is that i can't go directly to the last post in a thread.

Why not just stay here instead of moving to FG? We're all (mostly) already here. Shawn has put a lot of time and effort into getting this place organized so jumping ship already to some irrelevant other forum seems rude and pointless to me. Not to mention the fact that harry baiting people to switch with mod positions and non-stop campaigning is kind of turning me off, but that's besides the point.

What happened to the Real Life forum at Filmgasm? It vanished a few months ago. You have to be logged in to see it. It's a section that people talk about personal info and topics in, so we like the idea of keeping it exclusive to members and not having lurker eyes on everything. |

Filmgasm has an established community of users and is a great forum, I have posted there since it began and its very good. The mods and admins do a great job and it has very up-to-date features and such (unlike Proboards). Maybe Shawn did not expect this to become the full time "new BOM" and isn't prepared/willing (I'm just theorizing here, maybe he is) to assume the responsability of managing a large forum.

My issue is I 1) don't know Shawn very well at all and 2) have no idea how to reach him to present my idea.
I can tell everyone here is very loyal to the BOM admins, which is admirable and tbh the type of people FG wants, but I can understand people not wanting to just jump ship especially when Shawn and Scottb were such good mods to you all, which is why I would rather both gain from it, by having a busier community of quality film and box office posters while at the same time, allowing Shawn and others to be an integral part of the transition and building up of the site. I would essentially want admins to take over for me so I can focus more on the waaaaay backend of things, like keeping the php script and everything else up to date.
I have just invested too much time and money into this forum to see it go to waste. I'd like others to feel free to make it their home, as well as open the employee doors to whoever is interested and abled.
