I will just give up. Today is slooooooooooooooow. Tomorrow, when the first numbers for Friday arrive and show an 40M OD for Fast Five, BOM forums will crash and burn forever (hope not!) lol

Shawn I know that its because of some massive technical problem other sites are experiencing as well but that's just the tip of the iceberg I know you probably can't say you are displeased with BOM management ( being a mod and all seeing that someone may rat you out or whatever ) but over 90 % of us definitely are Our avatars HAVE to be movie posters only available in BOM database  Seriously I think that this is the perfect opportunity for many of us to consider the possibility of leaving BOM ... I would do it but only if you guys ( whom I consider internet pals ... don't call me pathetic !!! ) do it too ! lets vote on it |

Its kind of tough for them though, because upgrading the site requires a lot of money going into an aspect of the site that doesn't generate any money for them.
Plus, its not BOM's fault -- but Amazon/IMDb as they now own the site and decide its budget. That's very important for everyone to remember (especially since it was the Amazon EC2 outage that has caused these recent problems -- as well as for other sites).

site is fine but forums suck ( I know its connected but still just to point it out )
plus the way they are running it with censorship and everything just bugs me

I've personally witnessed and/or been a part of several of them. Everyone inevitably comes back to Mojo in the end, and even after all of that, it has a more populated board than ever. I honestly think it will take Mojo shutting down the board permanently to actually get everyone to move to another board permanently as well. Baumer can atest to this too as he's been around even longer than I have and witnessed a lot of people come and go on Mojo. |

The majority, at least. Others hated the administration (trust me, things are lot more flexible now than they used to be.) :lol: We'll see what happens. Back when I was a teenager and ready to start an online revolution, I would have been all about starting a new forum or migrating to another. Experience has taught me to be more patient though when things like this happen.  |

Oh, I set up the star system to be pretty easy to hit:
5 stars = 100 posts
4 stars = 75
3 stars = 50
2 stars = 25
I'm probably going to add a few mods as well. Impact and Vanilla by default will fill two spots but neither have joined yet. Aside from them, I'm going to assign two others (or four if neither show up).

BOM management doesn't seem to give a shit about those forums, even though it's probably the most active part of the site. I couldn't believe when I read they aren't planning on making any upgrades for years. I think we should be able to post images and stuff. And also not always crash. I really doubt the forum is the most active part of the site. |

I was wandering what was up with Mojo the last couple of days.
I like this alternate site Shawn. It's a good idea. Don't know if I'd leave Mojo though. Been going there a LONG time, even before I registered to post on the forum i was checking out the site and lingering around the forums.
