I thought one of our members died too at first glance. I remember one time, around when I first joined, there was a thread in Reel Life where somebody's sister logged into their account to inform everyone that the user had committed suicide. That's fucked up..

Mhm. I was a user for a long time on Gateworld, and I remember a couple instances where members died, and we found out through articles on the web or something. One of 'em was like 17...
Also, a regular poster on the IMDb sports board, like a year back. I remember thinking how weird that is. One day, you're talking to someone who, by all accounts, is a stranger, then the next, you find out he's dead.
