I think it is important that when the BOT forum is open to close this one and make a link to the BOT one. You don't want further fragmentation of what refugees we have.

The forum will stay open for a little bit to let people take stuff, but I do believe that after a while the forum will be closed. |

At the very least it needs to made very clear to go and register at BOT to continue the discussion. Many people simply ignore sticky threads and will keep posting obliviously.
It's important to make sure the community is maintained and in one place.

My plan right now is to close all existing boards and threads except for *one* to redirect people to the new board once its launched.
So there will definitely room for the transition, but everyone's help will be greatly appreciated in spreading the word once the forum is live and a link is provided to register and post. More to come on that, though.
I'm currently in the middle of switching hosts (part of the necessary upgrade for BOT to host this new forum).

Edit is to get the formatting of the post. I think he is trying to explain that this forum will be effectively dead and you will be starting over new at the new official forum. The only thread open will be one directing users to the new forum. If he left other threads open to be able to be edited/posted in it would lead to confusion about where to post. Shawn's way makes it a clean easy break so no one gets left behind. And I highly doubt the new forum will use the same formating as proboards so copy pasting the posts with formating text wouldn't be useful anyway. |

Hey guys, just found this back-up forum. I used to be a regular reader on Mojo forums. I didn't post a lot, just enjoyed reading the predictions/opinions. In the past few days I desperately wanted to have some info about the Forum and now I found BoxOfficeTheory and this forum. (Thanks to poster/s on IMDb Forums who redirect us to this Forum!) To Shawn and and any other member who help to keep the community going: THANKS for all your efforts! The efforts for not letting this gang down and stick us together. Quick update: been on tech support chat for upwards of five hours now in the process of changing hosts. Long story short, its delayed me a bit in installing and working on the forum, but rest assured, I'm going as fast as possible.
My ***HOPE*** is to have it up sometime on Saturday evening, but it could possibly on Sunday. Once I get deeper into working on it tonight, I should have that narrowed down more.
While it will constantly be worked in some fashion, my goal is to at least launch it with enough features and settings so that everyone can register and post without many disruptions. I'd hate for it to look ugly and not completely ready when it goes live.
Also, I'll post an update on where we stand with donations tonight. We're INCREDIBLY close to the target goal, I'll say that right now (and thanks to those who have donated already, we exceeded the bare minimum goal!).
Also noteworthy is that the target goals increased a bit due to unforeseen costs related to host transfer, but nothing hugely significant.
