Honestly the numbers don't look bad. Tower Heist, despite the reviews, looks generic and forgettable and it making nearly 30m on OW is nearly twice what I expected when the first trailer came out.
Puss had a good recovery & I don't think H&K was going to really outdo its predecessors anyway when they weren't that big and the second was pretty crap.
However, as the drops for other movies aren't really that exceptional, it still points to a lousy November. I can't see either Immortals or Jack & Jill making it past 20m and hopefully they don't because they look like some of the most creatively bankrupt films this year. Then again, I thought Tower Heist would be and it's got decent reviews.
I'm going to go with reviews and Dreamworks/animation and hope Puss barely drops next week as it's been a tumultuous time for them recently with all the disappointments and I hope they weather the storm as the quality is going in the right direction.
Breaking Dawn busting out of the gate is not exactly any more likely considering the audience and I'd hope there's some audience erosion honestly but it'll be a decent couple hundred million boost.
Also I've seen Tintin and it's not going to be making more than 160m I would say.
