Puss will win again next weekend. How do you figure that? If it drops 30% next weekend, it gives it about 22-23 mill. JaJ will open higher than that. IMO of course.

Jack and Jill could be Sandlers worst opening since Little Nicky...but then again, Norbit looked awful, swept the Razzies, and STILL opened above $30M.
Still amazing drop for Puss in Boots; thank God for some good news.

Dreamworks should go ahead and schedule that PIB sequel for November 2014.
Jack and Jill might fall into that Bedtime Stories category where it sort of alienates families and traditional Sandler fans alike. It's PG, and I don't know who they're trying to market it to. That, and it looks like ass, and I'm not alone on that.

Still amazing drop for Puss in Boots; thank God for some good news. All the vitriol being spewed over Jack and Jill on the internet aside, general buzz doesn't feel that strong regardless. It's rated PG, which suggests a family film, but ads don't make it look like an appropriate family film, least not as much as other family films being released around it.

That, and it looks like ass, and I'm not alone on that. +1 110M comes off as kinda disappointing for Bedtime Stories which was supposed to attract both demos. When I saw it, it was mostly just kids and parents, barely any of the young adult male demo he usually attracts. Jack and Jill looks less family friendly than that. How many people are really out there who would see Sandler in anything? I'd think that number has declined a lot recently.

I'd love to see Puss stay flat! Imagine a tiny tiny increase? And this is my reasoning:
Most movies are relatively frontloaded on their first weekend, so for the kids movies, have a smaller-than-usual fri-sat bump. If last weekends bump was smaller than usual, and this Fridays gross was just below last Fridays, who's to say that saturday won't be just as high, or even higher, and the same for Sunday?

Wow puss's hold. That's amazing. Kinda hoping the sat bump is much bigger this week. And pib is flat. And @ Robert. Good to see ya here man. I'm holding off on the Aussie thread for now. Wait until BOT forums is on it's feet. - Jajang.

I think the DW strategy of opening on non-traditional weekends for big films seems to work... at least giving bigger legs.
So instead of like 50/190 it's 33/190.;

But I don't think 190 M is gonna happen. Even 160 M.

I doubt it can get to 190. Thanksgiving will kill it.

Kind of dissapointing for TH, but that was an excellent hold for hold for Puss in Boots, I was seeing around a 25% drop.
