Credit to Urban CinefileNo WIR Title $ % Total $ 1 2 IN TIME (M), FOX [224/ $6,909] 1,547,701 -35% 4,830,905 2 1 I DON`T KNOW HOW SHE DOES IT (PG), ROADSHOW [230/ $3,996] 919,070 N/A 1,028,191 3 3 PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 (M), PARAMOUNT [195/ $4,243] 827,318 -54% 6,829,886 4 3 MIDNIGHT IN PARIS (PG), eOne/HOPSCOTCH [142/ $5,497] 780,578 -27% 3,774,893 5 3 CONTAGION (M), WARNER BROS [236/ $2,444] 576,839 -42% 4,068,083 6 2 WARRIOR (M), ROADSHOW [228/ $2,174] 495,776 -30% 1,582,655 7 5 REAL STEEL (M), WALT DISNEY [178/ $2,144] 381,598 -46% 10,992,244 8 2 DRIVE (MA15+), PINNACLE FILMS [83/ $4,401] 365,295 -22% 1,029,427 9 1 ANONYMOUS (M), SONY PICTURES [135/ $2,701] 364,641 N/A 366,111 10 3 THE THREE MUSKETEERS (M), HOYTS [196/ $1,772] 347,267 -42% 2,411,831 In Time held on to the top spot. Don't know how she does it scrapped into a dissapointing 2nd. very little happening at the moment - very quiet at the bo this week. only points of note though are: * Real Steel and CSL both have passed 10m in the past few weeks. * Red Dog passed 20m finally in the past few weeks. * appears the smurfs is attempting to crawl to 20m but it might well fall short given it needs a 182k and it only made 69k this weekend gone. Paranormal 3 has dissapointed here still short of 7m overall (equivalent of 70m domestic US). In face "In Time" could well outgross Paranormal 3 here. - jajang

It's also a shame we lost the BOX OFFICE FACTS ONLY (NO SPECULATION) thread and the BOX OFFICE RECESSION thread. They were the two best threads on BOM.

Shame we lost the Aussie thread that was huge and full of great info and discussion. all is not lost - i've still got most of the info, though i might have to track down the records DH2 broke again. (I'm intending to get Box Office Down Under back on it's feet shortly to fill the gap... it's just going to take time as i'm a busy man - still have a fair chunk of the data on me) but i agree there was a lot lost... including my wonderful superplatives when avatar kept on smashing records week in week out.... though i must admit some of those reports are saved on my pc somewhere - will resurrect some of that data over at BOT once shawn has it up. I think the best moments on the aussie thread was Avatar's entire run..... (the will, won't it be able to reach Titanics's or Croc dundee 's approx attendance figures... amazing it even came close in the end ), New Moon coming out of nowhere and smashing the OW record which had just recently been beaten by Potter 6 (at the time). Potter 8 just smashing the out of the gate records all over the place including midnights, OD, OW but then failing to even reach titanic. still an amazing start that was... never seen craziness like it before! There are many other moments, but these are a select few i remember well. (oh and the battle we had with pointman over DH2 - - jajang - jajang

lol Pointman's reputation never recovered from the DH2 TRF3 battle, he put it all on the line and lost.
Avatar was amazing, just watching it fly past 100m and actually seeing the hteaters crowded was awesome.

I have been reading the Aussie thread for the last year on the old forums but now i'm inspired to start posting! Just a brief summary: I'm from Melbourne, and I work at one of the cinemas down here From what i know we had the best run of Red Dog in the country which was pretty awesome! Breaking Dawn is looking decent, but with a hint of meh Its tracking about the same as HP7.1, though twilight has been having midnight here for quite awhile, which HP7.1 was the first HP to have it
