I'm actually writing a retrospective on this for BOT and was planning on opening a thread for it once the December birthday gets closer.

Love me some Potter when the mood strikes, but if forced to choose, it has to be LOTR. Each Christmas season, I watch the extended editions. My son has joined in as of late; great father-son time.

Hard to believe that it is 10 years old already. It seems like yesterday I saw FOTR in theaters.

My biggest movie regret is not seeing Fellowship in theaters. I thought it looked lame.

It`s been great 10 years cause LOTR actors didn`t get much work. After initial luck with other actor`s tentpoles, Bloom fizzled when he tried on his own while the rest of the cast either disappeared into oblivion or are doing small movies and sitcoms I don`t care to watch. Other than that, I`m anticipating The Hobbit and expect these actors have more prosperous careers since they aren`t annoying. BTW, HP actor became bigger than any LOTR actor ever - Robert Pattinson. ;D

OK the trio was knew to acting but just look at the rest of the cast, it is the best of the best.

LOTR > Star Wars (never seen star wars). I still like Harry Potter more.
