It is hard to believe that they are almost done filming.

What a turn of events ... BOM forums down completely. Good to see many BOM forum refugees are here and that the BOM forums in some way will continue on "in spirit". Anyways, here is an interesting link: Hans Zimmer is asking for people all over the world to submit chants for the score for TDKR. They will somehow use the chants to create a "worldwide chant". The link also has a very clear recording of the chant from the teaser trailer. www.ujam.com/campaigns/darkknightrises/introductionToo much news about the film over the past few weeks. Just mind-blowing.

No Joker and Heath Ledger death=no money. The only people wil care are the multiple Nolan fansheep. They will love it even if it's 2 hours of Batman taking a shit, which it most likely is going to be. At least Burton picked someone sexy for Catwoman not a 12 year old tart from The Princess Diaries.
140/330

Unless Nolan fails on the quality side (unlikely) this will be epic just like the last one. It's got the conclusion aspect to it that should help make up for some of what it loses in terms of Ledger mystique.

For those of you that think TDK was a fluke in terms of how it became a cultural phenomenon in North America, think again.
I've heard about now what the overall plot is, and this is a plot and story that is VERY relevant to current world events, and will culturally catch on not just in North America but in many overseas markets.
No Joker in TDKR? No problem.

The people who think TDK was a fluke are people who were pissed it grossed so much, people who hate comic films, or a combo of both

If they don't play up that this is the last Batman in the marketing I 'm going to assume we will be getting a few more.

Considering the teaser trailer for Rises said this is "the epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend" then I'm quite sure they'll be pushing in the marketing that this is Nolan's last Batman film. For sure they will make more Batman films in the future, but marketing will emphasize this is a "must-see" event.

You can't say The Joker/Heath Ledger had nothing to do with TDK grossing 533M. A decrease from the last film is likely but this will still gross over 400M domestically. And no I am not a comic book hater, I saw TDK and Batman Begins opening day.

That's the "working title" for TDKR. TDK's working title was Rory's First Kiss. Mangus and Rory are Nolan's sons.
