I have not read any of the books (I know, I know).
But I love the LOTR movies.
Those of you who have read the books...
Do you think The Hobbit will be adapted as successfully? That is, does The Hobbit have the same sort of storytelling that worked so well on screen for LOTR?

Like LOTR PJ will keep the important parts and drop the not so important and add elements. We already know some elements he will add to the movies. Also there is a big change in the way it will be told. |

It will be great, I imagine, just like LOTR was great, but it's one of those franchises that I can never ever get excited for. Any set photo, any spoiler, any new cast member, it's a bit "so what", probably because so much is dependant on the director. I also don't know the history, the maps, the characters of the Tolkien world, so I suppose that stops me from being excited.
