Seems like every film except for XMen First Class got a China release. I wonder why they did not get one. I'm sure it would have done well. It did well in Asian countries. Well, except for Japan. It cleaned up in South Korea.

I think there's some law in China limiting the number of US films that can be released per year.

I think there's some law in China limiting the number of US films that can be released per year. That's not actually true. The foreign film imports vary with each year, and in fact it is increasing with every passing year. In 5 years time, I expect every major US release to also be released in China, the same as what happens in the UK or Russia, as examples.
