Lets face one thing: the Razzie winner is locked to be in November, and it will be between Jack & Jill, Immortals, J. Edgar (looking at the reviews, they will nominate it, they are crazy enough to do it!) and Breaking Dawn 1 (they probably already forget Sucker Punch and Red Riding Hood).

Have we forgotten about Bucky Larson already?

Have we forgotten about Bucky Larson already? Another one they will probably not remember. It just wasn't popular enough. Green Lantern will be there, tho.

Bucky Larson is the only movie whose advertising has physically repulsed people. It has to be there.

As I said in another thread, no way Jack and Jill breaks 20 million OW, it just looks too awful, even the rubes who usually watch such nonsense have been panning the previews for this one.

Not sure whether or not I buy into it, but I have access to early projections from Rentrak, and they are pegging Jack and Jill at a $12 million OW. Looks like it's tracking very poorly based on most of the reasons I mentioned. Adam Sandler is the new Eddie Murphy, he's spent the last decade sullying his name to the point that even his most loyal fan have given up on him. Even the biggest Sandler apologist I know told me he had given up hope after Grown Ups was so rotten last year.
Someone should get Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, and Jim Carey together and write a script that sends up all of these terrible movies they've made over the last 10 years. Just made it as ridiculous as possible, and just have fun with it. I'm sure they'd be good sports about it, since surely one doesn't sign on for movies like Imagine That, Mr. Popper Penguins, or Just Go With It for anything other than an easy paycheck.

Not sure why such low numbers are predicted for J Edgar. Sure, the film has only been getting so-so reviews thus far, but the names Leonardo Dicaprio and Clint Eastwood should be worth at least a 15-20 million OW. I imagine this one will have long legs and end between 120-150 million domestic

Why would a bad film have good legs? What differentiates this from Invictus or Hereafter? Not much IMO.

Although a 12M OW would be the greatest thing ever.

No one cares about the subject and Eastwood's been on a cold streak. DiCaprio alone is not enough.

If RS for Jack and Jill is the same as it was two weeks ago, then it's looking like it'll be getting what it deserves.
