I am going to try rewriting a few of my films that would have had potential had I written more than I had

I'd prefer to get our own CAYOM site... if this gets huge it'll be annoying to hope there's a new CAYOM post and just see another dull "forum game" thread. From what I understand, CAYOM is getting it's own sub-forum.

It is getting its own subform.

The only non-original franchises of mine I'd like to retain "dibs" on are Empowered and W.I.T.C.H. If someone REALLY wants to do an Empowered film or a W.I.T.C.H. film just ask me and if the idea is good I'll probably give rights.

For me my non-original franchises at the time of closure were: Star Wars (but as I said, this is big enough for me to contract pieces of it out to others for good cause. There's only 1 era of the franchise that I will hold onto for sure) Dragon Age Call of Duty (BOM just had to die days before MW3 came out. Basically I am just interested in holding onto the Modern Warfare series and Black Ops here) Pokemon (kinda, only that I attempted to make my own Pokemon series after you but then Chris murdered it with a bizarrely low OW and total for Film #1. There's more than enough series in the franchise to go around with other players if they want to go nostalgic)

I will redo Zelda and Mario the correct ways eventully. BTW-where is Silver Shark? And I think we should leave stuff like Pirates, Transfromers, Potter, ect. off limits for now.

Can I claim the Narnia franchise? I would really love to make those films.

Hope Silver Shark makes it over here, but if he doesn't then I will claim Starcraft since I'm the only other one who has a connection with the franchise. I agree that certain ongoing real life franchises should be off-limits for a period of time (Pirates, Transformers, Narnia, pretty much every Marvel + DC superhero film, etc).

Yep. And even stuff like Indiana Jones, Alien and Jurassic Park should be off limits.

Yep. And even stuff like Indiana Jones, Alien and Jurassic Park should be off limits. Since this is a general discussion thread for CAYOM's future, it might help to have a 2nd CAYOM thread devoted to talking about how franchises will be dealt with, so there isn't some mad scramble for them when the BOT sub-forum is ready.

I never got the chance to write my 1st film, so I can't wait for this to start up again.

You never were express about your Starcraft affection, whereas both SS and I made Starcraft films in CAYOM 1.0. ;D But I hope SS shows up since he made 2 films in his new series and he deserves to go on with it. For Year 1 of CAYOM 2.0 I don't have any major plans yet (as in planned big blockbusters). I don't plan on introducing Hartwick until at least a few years in so I have time to tweak and improve the original trilogy.

I'd like to keep World of Warcraft, my other franchises were imagined or obscure games that no one would make into films other than me.

I will never play CAYOM again. I actually came to this conclusion after Year 45. I just got so drained by the game, and the only chance I would have come back would have been some years down the road, maybe after Year 50, if I ever just felt like popping in. But now that all of the past CAYOM history is deleted, any interest I have in the game has been terminated. So I'm just popping in to say "Thanks for a great game, especially to Ry who first came up with it, and I had a great time playing, and I'm really pissed that I won't be able to ever read any of the films ever again (and all of mine are deleted because I don't keep them saved anywhere)." Goodbye CAYOM.

I had the rights to WarCraft and StarCraft and would like to own it on the new game.

It does kind of suck to have lost so much written material... I only had a few saved elsewhere. I guess it's just in our collective imagination now, most of it.

Well at BOM electrir said it would be ok if I have the rights but fine...
But I claim the rights for Spider-Man, I have a clear vision for some nice films. (If nobody has the rights, I think Ry had it)
About StarCraft I´m not sure how to do now. Should I just post the 2 films I´ve already made or should I try new again if I can keep the rights.

I said you could make a movie based on the Warcraft lore, more the comics/graphic novels, my movies were more based on the MMO.

Well, rewriting all my movies isn't so bad. Thankfully I do have a few of them saved in WordPad, but alas, most of them are gone.

Personally I would like if people wrote new films (or more developed versions of their old ones) than just copy and paste whatever you have made before.

Awww but I was going to copy Chris' Calcualtor Wars 2 which is still the shortest plot ever.

Now that Disney has gone back to making good animated films (Princess and the Frog, Tangled) there's no need for Gemini and I'll be doing Disney films from now on.
