So since the forums are more than likely gone forever, and even if they come back chances are high we lost the CAYOM history and such, the question is:
1) Do we revive CAYOM?
2) Do we revive CAYOM in it's own separate site, or do we follow a new site?

Thanks, Hunch and I are discussing it.

If BOM (or at least it's history) ends up lost, I vote for a re-start. Here (or the BOM forums) of course, I like having all my forum activities in one place.

I think I can ask Shawn for that...

Hunch, myself, and 1-2 others who've played CAYOM (such as the legendary DIB) have talked about it at FG also.
All of us there want CAYOM to continue in some form, be it through a subforum here or at FG. But it seems obvious that a re-start is the best way to go since for those who have their past films saved (like I do to word documents), it gives them the chance to remake those films into better versions with the gift of hindsight.

A sub-forum is an excellent idea. I've never played CAYOM myself, but its one of the coolest games I've ever seen in any forum or movie site and should be given the chance flourish.
Whoever decides to run it, just PM me with any details and we'll get it going (in the event that Mojo doesn't return, but even then, I suspect most wouldn't want to risk storing that kind of data on their forum again...)

I've lost almost all my films. oh well. I'll live. Thanks Shawn.

I think CAYOM should continue here and not on FG.

I still will visit IMDB, like after I see a movie to grade it. And to get info.

I have to relaunch the previous two films?

Yep so I guess its time to remake Hartwick. The first 3 films could certainly use the remake treatment in terms of making a better plot/cast. The second trilogy's good as it is, aside from needing to get tightened a little here or there (but of course since it takes place 10 years later it wouldn't appear until like 10 game years afterwards). Hiccup that's what'll have to happen if CAYOM resets to Year 1. There's no way around it because it's essentially a new game. How do you think I feel about 6 Hartwick films getting "erased" from history?

I feel bad that I have littlerly thousands of plots gone FOREVER!

On the plus side though-we no longer have to endure that RIB made 660 million despite being a 4 hour film (which DIB never mentioned along with other stuff such)

Bummer Oh..well. I am going to remake of the first Bartimaeus film with the same cast since the first film never existed. I have all my films from 40-47 saved on my computer. I might not have to actual write a film for a long time

If you revive CAYOM, we should do ticket sales for the films instead of inflated grosses. Would add an interesting and easier to follow dynamic to the game.
