Work is coming along great on the forum. Anyways, it looks like we'll probably be done Monday afternoon though there is a possibility we may have it ready earlier...but no later than Monday.

I went in with high expectations, hoping to see something different, but what we got was the same old typical Bollywood flicks, i.e. lots of pointless sub-plots and scenes. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. |

Watch it at your own risk. WOM is indeed mixed on this fan. Diehard Shahrukh fans liked it no doubt, but the general public was either confused by the incoherent storytelling, while others were annoyed by how stupid the movie got sometimes. There is a cameo from Rajinikanth in it too, totally pointless. |

We're making a lot of progress, guys. I'm not running behind so much as simply discovering a few new things to take care of in the setup process, but as things stand we are on target for the new forums to go live on MONDAY!
I had hoped and kept aiming for a Sunday launch, and that's not totally off the table yet, but I'd rather overestimate than underestimate the amount of time and things left to configure.
Keep in mind that things WILL still be in a constant state of minor change even once they go live, but I want to ensure that -- overall -- everyone will have a great, uninterrupted posting experience when we move over permanently.
I'll try to have another update on here sometime Sunday evening as well. Until then... [/color]

I just want to say you're doing a fantastic job Shawn! (and everyone else helping out behind the scenes of course!)
Just the fact that this is going to be ready to go as soon as Monday is a testament to the obvious hard work that's being put in to this. I think I speak for all the refugees in offering my appreciation

Can't tell you how thrilled I am you're going to all this effort Shawn.
There is nowhere quite like a box office community with the mojo guys. That you're going to such lengths to retain that and, by the sounds of it, improve it - hats off to you.

This seems to be for the better, to me at least. BOM definitely began to bore me, and yet now I'm more interested in seeing what happens next than I have been interested in posting on BOM since July when Deathly Hallows opened. Granted, I doubt I'll be a very active participant; I just don't have the time for internet browsing much any more, but I see Shawn is putting a lot of effort into this, and I know that if the MOJOers weren't getting their own forum, I probably never would return, as I'm not much a fan of either KJ or Filmgasm.

Thanks, guys! I have to say, honestly, I've already pretty much forgotten about Mojo's forums. That's how promising I think this new board is, and the mods who are helping out set up shop will resound that opinion I believe.
Mojo may still be king of the historical box office data, but its a distant memory when it comes to the forums.
If I had to equate the forum launch to a big movie's release, consider last night's update the final theatrical trailer. We're close!
